Real Madrid vs Roma 07/18/2015 International Champions Cup Preview & Prediction

The International Champions Cup live from the Melbourne Cricket Ground early Saturday morning will see Real Madrid take on Roma in what should be a good clash for the neutrals. Real Madrid will be looking to bed in their new manager and players as Navas takes over from Casillas in goal and Danilo should make his Real Madrid debut at right back. Rafa Benitez is the new man in charge of the Galacticos and the first thing he will be charged with is winning back the league title from Barcelona. Superstars Ronaldo, Bale and Benzema will be likely to start but Rodriguez is still away having played in the Copa America tournament. Real have an abundance of talent and fans in Australia should see plenty of young stars like Isco and Jese. It will be interesting to see how Benitez lines up his first game as Madrid manager.

Roma come into this game with much the same team as last season, Francesco Totti is still the main man at Roma though and they really need one of their young strikers Ljajic, Iturbe or Gervinho to step up and take over as the main goal scorer. Rudi Garcia's side were excellent defensively last season but just drew too many games and couldnt score enough goals. Roma are in a constant battle with Juve in Serie A at the moment but Juve's dominance has been a source of frustration for Roma fans.Roma fans will hope that Kevin Strootman can come back to full fitness and be the difference maker in their season it will be interesting to see how Roma fare here against a high paced Madrid attack.

Really good match up for the Melbourne fans of football and one that should see a few goals. Pre season games are always more open that competitive fixtures and I think we see both teams have a go here. Roma were excellent to watch last season in preseason and I think they will provide Madrid with a stiff test here. Going to take both teams to score as a value bet in what should be a good game to watch.
