Real Madrid look to bounce back from a loss at the weekend when they host Schalke in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Madrid lead 2-0 from the first leg but since that game they have been anything but impressive. The goals have dried up for Cristiano Ronaldo and his Real Madrid team. Madrid are heavily reliant on Ronaldo to score and with Bale, Benzema and the rest of the Madrid side failing to give Ronaldo some help. Carlo Ancelotti will be looking for his Real Madrid side to put in a big performance tomorrow. Although Real have failed to win in their last two games they are still a potent team , especially at home. Ronaldo , Bale and Benzema were excellent in the first leg of this tie and they will again look to get in behind Schalke as the away side will have to come out and attack as they need to win by two goals or more to advance.
Roberto Di Mateo has his Schalke side playing good defensive football but on Tuesday night they will need to attack and score goals. Klaas Jan Huntelaar is back and fit and will be the key man up front for Schalke. The dutch striker spent some time at Real and a return to the Bernebeau will have plenty of incentive for Huntelaar to fire a few goals that could get Schalke through the knockout stages. Meyer , Choupu Moting and Huntelaar will be the key figures up front for Schalke but can they get the better of a Real Madrid side that have only conceded two goals at home twice this season, both times were against Atletico Madrid.
Tough game to call here but I am going to take Real Madrid -1, with Madrid dropping points in their last two games both Ancelotti , Ronaldo and the fans will be keen to get a win and put in a performance. take
