Real Madrid vs Wolfsburg 04/12/2016 UEFA Champions League Preview, Odds, Pick & Where to Watch

A finely balanced Champions League tie will see Wolfsburg travel to the Bernebeau to take on Real Madrid in a game that could see one of Europe's elit exit the competition.

Real Madrid somehow conspired to lose in the first leg despite dominating the possession and chances. Cristiano Ronaldo was a little off form on the night and failed to find the net but both Ronaldo and Gareth Bale will look to take the game to the German side here. Bale has managed fifteen goals in nineteen games and was the best Real Madrid player on the field in Madrid's win against Barcelona a couple of weeks back. With Karim Benzema also having a career year scoring twenty one goals in twenty two games this is a Madrid team that has plenty of goalscorers. Luka Modric is the key for Madrid offensively he makes the team tick and is the best passer of the ball in terms of seeing the space to play the ball through, Toni Kroos will also need a big performance here as Real Madrid need to win by three clear goals to qualify for the semi finals.

Wolfsburg caused the biggest shock of the round when beating Real Madrid 2-0 in the first leg. Wolfsburg played well on the night and got the luck they needed to win the game. Andre Schurrle and Julian Draxler were key for Wolfsburg as they played on the counter attack for most of the game, Wolfsburg though did have chances in the game and managed to test the keeper on more occasions than Real. Wolfsburg have had a strange season where the domestic season has been topsy turvy but their European campaign has been very impressive. Luiz Gustavo will be key for the Wolfsburg team as he protects the back four and will need to break up Real Madrid's attacks when it gets into that dangerous final third. Wolfsburg know that if they can get a goal and avoid a three goal defeat they will be in a semi final, the question is can they do that?

Huge game here, I really fancied Real madrid in the first leg and they fell flat after a huge win against Barcelona the weekend before. Real Madrid got back to winning ways at the weekend scoring four and conceding none a similar result on Tuesday night will see Real move on to the semi final. Zinedine Zidane is looking to get the best of his supremely talented Real Madrid side, for me anything could happen here but I am going to take over 1.5 first half goals. I think there will be goals early in this one.
