The last of the midweek Ligue 1 fixtures will see Marseille travel to the Roahzon Park to take on Rennes in what should be a pretty evenly matched game. Rennes come into this game off the back of two 2-2 draws. The team is struggling a little bit recently with only one win in their last six league games and Rennes come into this game without two of their top scorers as Sio is suspended and Ntep looks set to miss the game with an injury. Rennes are tough to beat at home though and with the exception of a 4-1 loss to Nice, Rennes have been very solid at home losing only one other game and that was a 1-0 loss to high flying PSG.
Marseille though come into this game in fine form having won three of their last six and only losing one over that period. Marseille have also picked up their form in Europe winning their last two and the team is playing with plenty of confidence. Last weekend they were involved in a thriller with Monaco that finished 3-3 and highlighted the good and bad of Marseille this season. While Marseille look plenty capable going forward they have really struggled defensively this season and that is why they are in the bottom half of the table currently. Batshuayi, Alessandrini and Koudou are all excelling this season and Batshuayi has ten goals already this season and looks likely to be there of there abouts for top scorer in the league this season. Marseille need to improve defensively to move up the table but they really are entertaining this season under Michel.
Love the overs in this one, Ligue 1 doesnt generally provide us with much in terms of guaranteed overs as it's a more defensively minded league but this one looks certain to be a high scoring affair between two sides who have plenty of attacking talent and defensive frailties. Take the overs in what will be a close to max bet for me.
