Georgia travel to Ireland to take on a Republic team who are now in control of their own destiny. Georgia gave the Republic of Ireland an early Christmas present by beating Scotland last week and now Ireland just have to beat Georgia and match scotlands results against Poland and Germany in order to get through to at least the playoffs for Euro 2016. Martin O'Neill's men know that this is a huge banana skin though and it took a nintieth minute winner for Ireland to get the win in Tibilisi.
With a young squad Ireland are well set up by Martin O'Neill to use the pace on their wings and to put pressure on the opposition when not in possession. James McCarthy, Coleman, Christie, Brady, Long and Clark are all playing at a high level and are the youth back bone that will lead Ireland for the next few tournaments. Robbie Keane, Walters, Hoolahan , O'Shea and Given provide the experience and as a whole Ireland have a good mix which should see them play well in high pressured situations. This is one of those situations and the Aviva stadium will be rocking on Monday night and the atmosphere should be incredible.
This is going to be a tight game and I cant see there being much between the teams, while Ireland did manage four against Gibraltar and Gergia managed to beat Scotland I dont see this one being a high scoring game and I am going to take the unders. Ireland will be cautious here, they know that a win really puts them in pole position to at least get a playoff spot but they also know a loss can damage their qualifiction hopes alot. Taking the unders in what should be a tight game.
