One of the games of the weekend in Europe will see Juventus travel to Rome to take on Roma at the Stadio Olympico. These are two new look sides as both teams were very active in the transfer market this summer. Champions Juventus lost Tevez, Pirlo and Vidal but have brough in Dybala, Mandzukich and zaza and really should have the quality to again compete for the title as long as they hold on Paul Pogba who is supposedly a target for Chelsea. Juve have great players throughout their team though and I think that last weeks surprise home loss to Udinese was just a blip and that the Juve we have seen the last number of years will click back into place soon, but this is a tough fixture.
Roma also were very busy in the transfer window bringing in Salah, Dzeko and Szczensy from the Premier League clubs and Salah in partiular is a very interesting signing as he had great success in Serie A last year when on loan at Fiorentina, the question is can he reprodcue that great form for Roma. It appears as though Francesco Totti will be only a sub for this huge game and the Rome talisman may have his cards marked for how many games he will play this year. Roma still though have space for that type of genius and he may play a more active role in the big games like this.
Two really good teams here and I think that overall this one is going to be very tough to call. I like the value we're getting on the draw though which to me looks the most likely outcome, both sides have strengths defensively but question marks over their attacks as nearly all of the front three for both teams are new players. Small play here but the draw looks a good bet.
