Game of the day in the Bundesliga will see Schalke 04 host Bayer Leverkusen in a fourth v fifth battle at the Veltins Arena. Schalke come into this game having had no midweek game, Huntelaar and Sane have looked like a potent partnership over the last couple of games and Schalke did go to Madrid and win 4-3. That was a massive performance and Schalke were just one goal from knocking out the defending Champions.Roberto Di Mateo has really done a solid job here and Schalke look better on both sides of the ball. Huntelaar has three in his last two and will fancy his chances of testing himself against a Bayer Leverkusen defence that has conceded only once in their last four games.
On the other side Bayer Leverkusen had a heart breaking loss to Atletico Madrid on penalties after extra time. The extra effort involved in that game has to have some effect on Bayer Leverkusen's team and this is a tough game away to Schalke who have lost just one league game at home all year. Kiebling was the one that missed the final penalty but overall Leverkusen missed three penalties and the blame cant just fall on Kiebling. With Leverkusen looking to Son and Kiebling for goals this is going to be an interesting game to see how they have recovered from their midweek exertions.
I'm taking the home dog here, I think Schalke are terrific value at 19/10 and as a home dog I will be on the handicap and the moneyline.
