Scotland simply put have to win this game to give themselves any chance of qualfying for the playoffs, currently four points behind Ireland with two games to go the Scots must win both of their final games and hope that Ireland dont manage a win in their last two games. Gordon Strachan's men let their advantage in the group slip when they lost to Georgia a couple of games ago and the Irish pounced on the opportunity. Now Scotland must get a win here over a tough Poland side who are fighting for automatic qualification. Scotland will look to Naismith, Fletcher, Brown, Maloney to get the goals they need to get a win here but this is going to be a very tough game, played in front of a packed Hampden Park.
Poland of course have one of the most inform strikers in the world up front for them in Robert Lewandowski who has scored sixteen goals in his last eight games for both club and country. A remarkable run of form that has seen him fail to score in just one of his last eight appearances. With Ajax's young starlet Milik starting alongside him up front the two players have developed a strong partnership and Poland look like a team that are going to cause problems for Scotland and any of the other teams they face. Poland will know that a win here guarantees them a place in at least a playoff for the Euro's so there is a big carrot here for them to go and get the win, the pressure of course though is that a loss leaves them on the cusp of being knocked out of playoff contention.
Hard one to call here but with Scotland really needing a result here I am going to take a chance on our Celtic cousins putting huge pressure on Ireland by getting a win over Poland in what should be a cracking game of football. This one is going to be tight and without a doubt will be full of tension and intrigue. If Scotland can get an early goal to settle the nerves the cracking atmosphere in Hampden could well help them through.
