The Seattle Sounders FC and LA Galaxy meet Sunday afternoon at the StubHub Center.

The Seattle Sounders FC need a win in order to snap a four-game losing streak. The Seattle Sounders FC have scored 25 goals in 23 matches and have been shutout in four straight matches. Clint Dempsey leads Seattle with seven goals, Marco Pappa has five assists and Lamar Neagle has 19 shots on goal. Defensively, the Seattle Sounders have pitched nine shutouts and allowed two or more goals in five matches. Stefan Frei has come away with 75 saves in 20 matches and allowed three goals in his last outing. The Seattle Sounders FC have lost five straight road matches and have been shutout in three of their last four matches away from home.

The LA Galaxy look to remain hot after winning four of their last six matches. The LA Galaxy have scored 39 goals in 24 matches and have scored eight goals in their last three matches. Robbie Keane leads LA with 10 goals, Stefan Ishizaki has five assists and Alan Gordon has 29 shots. Defensively, the Galaxy have pitched seven shutouts and allowed two or more goals in eight matches. Jaime Penedo has come away with 50 saves and has a save percentage of 72.5 percent. The LA Galaxy have have won four straight home matches and have scored nine goals in their last two games.

The LA Galaxy beat the Seattle Sounders back in April, 1-0. However, the last five matches between these two teams are split, 2-2-1.

I’m not sure how anyone can back the Sounders right now, as this team can’t win, can’t score or simply do much of anything right at the moment. Meanwhile, the Galaxy are hot and have not lost at home since June 6th. Give me the home team to get the job done once again.
