Senegal will play against Benin in the quarterfinals of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Morocco defeated Benin in the previous round of the tournament via a penalty shoot-out. It was a difficult match for Benin as the team only had 33% of the possession but the players defended well to ensure Morocco only scored once in the 120 minutes of play. Moise Adilehou scored the goal for Benin during the match. It was clear that Benin were the weaker side in the match but the team played with great determination to secure the win.

Benin were lucky to qualify to the knockout stage as they finished third in the group. This is expected to be another tough match for Benin as they are facing a tough team in Senegal.

Looking at Senegal, the team played well in the previous round as they defeated Uganda 1-0. It was a good performance by Senegal as the team controlled 54% of the possession and completed 331 passes. Sadio Mane was the star performer as he scored the only goal of the game.

Senegal have been outstanding in this tournament as the team has a record of 3-1. The defense has been very good for Senegal as the team has conceded only 1 goal in their 4 games. Sadio Mane has been in outstanding form for Senegal as the Liverpool winger has scored 3 goals for the team. Sadio Mane is currently the top scorer in this tournament.

This match between Benin and Senegal is set to be played at the 30 June Stadium in Cairo.

Benin have shown great determination to make it this far in the tournament. That being said, I see Benin losing this match. Senegal have been playing well all through the tournament and they have players like Sadio Mane and M'Baye Niang who are amongst the best in the world. Senegal looks far too strong for Benin and I see the team winning this match and securing a spot in the semifinals.
