With Sevilla hosting Borussia M'gladbach on Tuesday night we have two teams that are currently really struggling domestically and probably both in need of a welcomed change from the normal. Borussia have lost every game so far this year in the Bundesliga and have only managed two goals while conceding nine. This is a team that lost top scorer Kruse to Wolfsburg and have struggled to replace him. Young Swiss striker Drmic has come in along with Chelsea's Thorgan Hazard who has moved permanently but the team is struggling offensively and a trip to Sevilla may just be what they needed as Sevilla themselves are really struggling defensively.
Sevilla have a tremendous squad but they are struggling to get things going in La Liga right now scoring just one goal in three games. After a tremendous European Super Cup against Barcelona things have sort of come off the rails for Sevilla but with the signings them made during the summer I think this is a team that will eventually come good. Konoplyanka and Nzonzi were excellent signings and alongside Gameiro, Kakuta and Llorente this is a team that has plenty of firepower but they seem to be struggling right now to put it all together.
This one is tough to call. Borussia Mochengladbach though have really struggled offensively and while Sevilla have had some struggles as well they look much more likely to put it together tonight and given that it is at home in Spain I am going to take last seasons Europa League winners to put in a performance and get a win here and cover the handicap. Should be a terrific atmosphere at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.
