Arsenal need a striker, that’s a fact. The Gunners have been relying on Giroud for the past few season and it is for sure time for a change since it has not been working. Out of the many targets Arsene Wenger has, AC Milan and Colombia striker Carlos Bacca has been one. While he may not have the pedigree that some of the other names in the list have, Bacca might just still the best option for the North London side.
In the English Premier League, a strong target man is often the best option and we can see this with the success that the of Lukaku have had at Everton. Carlos Bacca is similar in many ways as he is also a big unit and he uses his strength very well. An asset that Bacca has over Lukaku is that he has much better composure. Lukaku has the ability to get carried away and fail under pressure as we could see in the Euro 2016 game against Wales. Bacca on the other hand is a much calmer character in pressure situations and he has scored many goals for both AC Milan and Colombia when the needed it the most.
All in all I think that Carlos Bacca will be a perfect signing for Arsenal as he will fill the striker role perfectly. Ever since Robin Van Persie left the Gunners for Manchester United, the role of a number 9 has been missing with Giroud not being up to scratch. If Bacca was to come to Arsenal, that would no longer be the case and if Arsenal are to win the Premier League this season, it is a must do situation.
