Southampton vs Arsenal 28 Jan 2017: FA Cup Preview and Predictions

The FA Cup is on this weekend and the game in feature is that between Southampton and Arsenal. The FA Cup has been the saving grace for Arsene Wenger in the past and the French tactician will hope it will be the same again for the Gunners as they head to Saint Mary’s Stadium. Southampton on the other hand will look to end the party for the London club like they did to Liverpool earlier this week.

Southampton have one of the best defences in the league and I am expecting this to continue as they line up to take on the Gunners. With that in mind, Arsenal have a terrific attack with the likes of Alexis Sanchez running riot through almost every team in the league. That being said, this is a cup game and I am expecting the defences to hold up and as a result the under 2.5 goals is looking like the best bet at the moment. This seems to be a very safe bet and I think we can place any wager size we want on it but a bigger bet is recommended.

Other than that, there is still a lot of other value left in this game and the better on the overall result is also seeming like a good bet. As a whole, Arsenal are by far the better team. That being said, they will be away from home and I expect Southampton to play a tight game so I am going to predict the outcome of this match as a draw. We are getting a pretty good price on this bet and although it is knockout competition and it will go to overtime in the case of a draw, the odds are simply too good to resist. Due to such a large price, I would recommend a small bet for this wager.

Under 2.5 goals
