Southampton are back playing football this weekend at St Mary’s Stadium and after the disaster midweek against Liverpool, they will want to have a win against Aston Villa to get back on the winning ways. Aston Villa on the other hand also need a win since they are in real treat of getting relegated this season and an out of form Southampton may be a perfect chance to get 3 points.
Southampton are a team that will be low on confidence after their previous few outing and it might be hard for them to get the confidence back since this team lacks experience. This being said, there is a ton of talent in this squad and players such as Maine and Pelle will want to show their worth by putting on a wonderful performance. In addition to this they will be at home and the Southampton fans are always on form so in my opinion it will be hard for them not to get the 3 points here.
Aston Villa have been really poor this season. The defense is poor and there is no treat going forward. In addition to this the midfield has been dominated way too often. These factors together have resulted in Villa sitting at the bottom of the table and it is hard to see that this will change anytime soon.
Southampton are massive favorites going into this match and there seems like there is no value in betting on them. That being said there is still a ton of value in this match. The handicap is set at 1 goal and I think Southampton will win by more than 1 goal so betting on Southampton +1 is good value. In addition to that, Over 2.5 goals is also a good bet since both defenses are poor. This match is good for value so I will definitely be betting on it.
