Southampton will finish off their season at home at St Mary’s stadium as they take on Stoke City in what will be another dead rubber match to finish of the English Premier League season. This year has been good for both sides and both teams have developed a lot and as a result I am expecting that both teams will want to finish off their respective seasons on a high.

Southampton are a good side and the most impressive part about this team is that they can actually defend. Defending is a skill that has been lost in the English Premier League but this side has done it well and after getting a draw against Manchester United midweek, this side will look to finish off their year with a win over Stoke City. This team has goals in them and they have a lot of talent all around so I expect them to finish off the year well.

Stoke seem to be on holiday mode and that will mean that they will not play well this weekend. This team is great going forward and with a solid midfield, a strong defense and a wall in Jack Butland behind that all, this is a talented side. That being said, they are not playing well consistently enough and as a result with nothing to play for, I expect them to lose.

We are getting a good price on the Saints to win at home and as a result it is the best bet to make. In addition to that, this will be low scoring since both teams can defend so the under 2.5 goals is my other bet which I am going to make.

Pick:
Southampton
