Southampton had a bad loss to Manchester United in a game where they looked very poor. This weekend they will look to turn things around as they take on Sunderland in a game that both teams will be desperate to win. St Mary’s Stadium will play host to this encounter and I am expecting a packed Southampton crowd cheering on the Saints.
Sunderland were lucky to survive relegation last season and they have started this season of very poorly losing both of their opening Premier League games. This weekend it will be tough for them to win since they will be away from home and they will be taking on Southampton, a team that is amazing at home. A draw alone will be tough for Sunderland to get and the new manager is yet to have gotten his team running on the right track so I think we can expect a loss here.
Southampton on the other hand are a team that will know that they are expected to win. This team hasn’t won a game yet this season and the home crowd will want their Saints to get over the line in this tie. I think they should do so as well since Sunderland are not playing well at the moment and Southampton still have the likes of Shane Long in form after the Euros.
All in all, I am expecting a Southampton win but unfortunately we are not getting a good enough price to bet on them. I think the best option is to bet on the under 2.5 goals since neither side has enough goals in them. We are getting a pretty good price on this bet and I think we should take it. A medium sized stake is good.
