With El Classico being postponed, let’s turn our attention to some of the less glamorous games in La Liga this weekend to try and find some decent odds.
Leganes are still without a win as they host Mallorca, while the two best defensive teams in the league go head to head at Wanda Metropolitano Stadium. Can Granada overcome Betis?
Leganes vs. RCD Mallorca – 10/26/19
Mallorca come into this match on the back of a stunning win against Real Madrid in the previous round. The victory over Real was Mallorca’s second straight league win and has seen them move up to 15th in the table. On the other hand, Leganes are struggling. They are yet to win a game in the league this season, losing seven of their nine matches so far. I can’t believe the bookies are offering us such high odds for a Mallorca win here. Admittedly, they are away from home, but 4.33 is a seriously good price that cannot be missed.
Pick: RCD Mallorca to Win – 4.33
Atletico Madrid vs. Athletic Bilbao – 10/26/19
These two teams share the best defensive record in the division. Both Atletico and Bilbao have conceded just five goals each this season. Atletico are 5th, while Bilbao are three points behind in 8th. Remarkably, both these teams have also scored eight goals in nine league games this term. Neither side concede many goals, but they don’t score many either. There has been very little between the two teams in the early part of this season, so under 2.5 goals makes sense for this one.
Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.44
Granada vs. Real Betis – 10/27/19
Granada are flying in La Liga this season and currently sit 3rd in the table. They are just two points behind league leaders Barcelona and a point behind Real Madrid. Granada have won five of their nine league games and have scored a total of 16 goals in the process. Betis have only managed two wins in their nine games so far, and are currently languishing down in 18th place. The bookies have got Granada at 2.3 for the win, but I think they will win convincingly. Betis have the worst defensive record in the division, so adding over 1.5 goals will boost the odds nicely.
Pick: Granada to Win and Over 1.5 Goals – 2.85
