Spanish La Liga: Best Bets – Round 20 – Odds, Predictions, and Picks

Can Sevilla get the better of Real Madrid? Will there be a winner when Osasuna host Real Valladolid? Can Mallorca keep out in-form Valencia? Let’s find out by looking at the best bets for this weekend’s La Liga fixtures.
Real Madrid vs. Sevilla – 1/18/20
Two of the division’s best defenses meet on Saturday as Real Madrid host Sevilla. Los Blancos boast the joint-best defensive record in La Liga after conceding just 12 goals in 19 games. Sevilla have only let in 18 themselves, so I don’t think we’ll see too many goals in this game. Madrid currently sit second in the table – level with first-place Barcelona on 40 points. Sevilla find themselves five points behind Real in fourth. Both teams are enjoying successful seasons so far and will want to continue that by keeping their defense tight. Under 2.5 goals makes sense here.
Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 2.25
Osasuna vs. Real Valladolid – 1/18/20
Osasuna and Valladolid have both endured a bad run of results recently. Osasuna have won just one of their last seven league games, while Valladolid have failed to win any of their previous seven. Osasuna find themselves twelfth on 24 points – three points ahead of fourteenth-place Valladolid. The away side come into this clash as underdogs. But after drawing four of their last five games in La Liga, I think Valladolid will snatch another draw. These two teams are pretty evenly matched at the moment, so I think the draw seems like the most probable outcome.
Pick: The Draw – 3.30
Mallorca vs. Valencia – 1/19/20
Mallorca and Valencia are two teams moving in opposite directions. Mallorca have slipped into the relegation zone after losing five of their last six games. By contrast, Valencia’s five-game unbeaten run has seen them move up to sixth in the table. Following an inconsistent start to 2019/20, it seems as though Valencia have found their feet this season. On the other hand, only bottom side Espanyol have conceded more goals than Mallorca in La Liga this term. Valencia’s away status in this fixture makes the odds for a Valencia win very profitable.
Pick: Valencia to Win – 2.00
