Spanish La Liga: Best Bets – Round 5 – Odds, Predictions, and Picks
Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 1:51 PM (Spain)
Sevilla, Real Madrid, Athletic Bilbao, and Osasuna are all yet to taste defeat in La Liga this season. Will any of these unbeaten runs be coming to an end this weekend?
Sevilla and Real Madrid clash on Sunday, while Barcelona travel to Granada. Valencia host Leganes.
Let’s get stuck into the best bets for Round 5 of the 2019/20 La Liga campaign.
Granada vs. Barcelona – 9/21/19
Granada and Barcelona have both picked up 7 points from their opening 4 La Liga matches. After failing to find a win in their first 2 games, Granada have won their last 2. Barcelona lost their opening match, but are now unbeaten in 3. The Catalan club smashed Valencia 5-2 in their previous match, but have failed to keep a clean sheet in the league so far this season. With Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi returning from injury, Barcelona are likely to start scoring again. However, considering the team’s poor defensive record, they are likely to conceded on their way to victory against Granada on Saturday.
Pick: Barcelona to Win and Both Teams to Score – 2.71
Valencia vs. Leganes - 9/22/19
Leganes sit rock bottom of La Liga after losing all four of their matches this season. They have managed to score just one goal and have conceded seven at the other end. Despite Valencia’s inconsistent start, they come into this match on the back of an impressive victory away to Chelsea in the Champions League. Valencia have claimed one victory in the league so far, but I’m expecting them to pick up a convincing win against Leganes. It won’t be long before Valencia start climbing up the table, and they couldn’t have wished for a better opportunity to do so. A big win for the home team is on the cards.
Pick: Valencia to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 2.67
Sevilla vs. Real Madrid - 9/22/19
It’s 1st vs. 3rd on Sunday night as top of the table Sevilla host Real Madrid. The home side are unbeaten in the league with 10 points to their name following 3 wins and a draw. Real Madrid are also unbeaten so far after winning 2 and drawing 2. It’s set to be a close encounter when the two teams meet, and neither side will want to throw away their respective unbeaten runs. For that reason, I think we could see a draw here. When you consider both team’s good from, 3.60 for a draw is looking like a seriously profitable bet, and a great opportunity to make some money off the bookies.
Pick: The Draw – 3.60
