Action from the Czech Republic on Thursday night as Italian giants Lazio travel to the Generali Arena to take on an impressive Sparta Praha team who are second in the table just behind Victoria Plezen and looking to make a mark in Europe. Sparta have been impressive in Europe and are unbeaten in ten games this season in the Europa League an impressive accomplishment. Looking to Fatai and Lafata for the goals to fire them to the next round , the Czech side will be aware that they face a Lazio team who are also unbeaten in this years competition and are very tough to beat. Sparta have won four of their five home games though in the competition and will be looking to make it five from six here on Thursday.
Lazio are a side that really have mastered the draw, Lazio have six draws in their last six away games and they are a prime example of how to play away from home. Soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the counter attack. Piolo's side have struggled for consistancy in the league but in the Europa League they have been very impressive. Goals have been a problem at times with the strikers struggling this season but with Klose, Candreva, Felipe Anderson, Matri, Biglia there are players across the squad who can score but they have just had problems in finding a front man to be consistant.
Just looking at the stats here and the odds it is pretty obvious that the bookmakers have no clue who is going to win this one. It does surprise me though that the draw is freely available at 23/10 and it looks the best value bet on this one. Too tough to call a winner here for me so I am going to go with the draw specialists Lazio to provide another stalemate, making it seven in a row when away from the Olympic Stadium in Rome. Take the draw.
