One of the best value plays we've made this season has been Stoke City as home underdogs, they've delivered against both Manchester Clubs and against Chelsea, can they complete the quadruple on Sunday with a win over Arsenal at the Britannia? Stoke City have been playing really well this season but a game against the league leaders may be their biggest test of the season so far. Mark Hughes side have plenty of attacking talent with Bojan, Arnautovic, Walters, Affelay, Shaqiri and Diouf all capable attackers who all bring something different to the attack. The Potters have won four of their last five home games in the league, losing to a cracking strike against Crystal Palace in the last two minutes of a game they dominated. Bojan and Arnautovic have been a consistant threat in every game they have played this season and they will definitely give Arsenal's defencea tough examination.
Arsenal come into this after a 3-3 draw with Liverpool, a game in which Arsenal trailed twice and led once. Arsenal's defence was terrible on the night and they were bailed out by how terrible Liverpool's own defence were . Traveling to the Britannia will be a tough game for Arsenal, Mark Hughes side have not given up anything easy in their last five games at home and after a tough start to the season Stoke have been very impressive of late a win here tomorrow could see them up as high as joint fifth in the table. Giroud will have a tough time against this Stoke back four that are physically powerful and intimidating. Ozil will have some close attention as well and Arsenal's midfield will have to work extremely hard as Stoke have one of the hardest working midfields in the league.
I've taken Stoke as a home dog in all their big games this season and I see no reason not to take them again here, yes Arsenal are top of the league but Arsenal have won just one of their last five away games in the league and have faltered on the road of late. The Gunners defence has also really struggled of late and Stoke have a formidable offence that will work hard and move the ball quickly. I'm taking Stoke +1 here on the handicap and will spread a little on the moneyline as well.
