At the Stadium of Light on Saturday Sunderland will host Norwich City, both teams are looking to bounce back from a loss on the opening weekend. Norwich lost a home opener to Crystal Palace, a side that will do very well this year and while Norwich struggled at times against Palace's movement they were well in the game until the third goal went in and it's possible that maybe they didnt start with their best side on the field. I always feel like Norwich are better with Cameron Jerome up top and he only entered the fray in the second half. Alex Neil is continuing Steve Bruce's attempts to make Robbie Brady into a left back and the former Manchester United starlet is having some success in the position, his ball striking and delivery should see him start most games but his defensive game needs work and I am sure Sunderland will target that.
Sunderland were in a cracking game at the King Power Stadium where Leicester City were very impressive in a 4-2 win. Sunderland look really poor defensively though and if they dont improve at the back they are going to be in another relegation battle. The one positive aspect was that Defoe, Fletcher and the forward unit in general looked dangerous and looked capable of scoring given a good opportunity. Sunderland managed two against Leicester and they will be hoping that a similar haul at home on Saturday should be good enough for all three points.
I've looked at this one a few times and I think that Sunderland to me at the moment look really poor at the back, Norwich are only back in the league having won the playoffs from the Championship last season. I think this Norwich side has plenty of pace on the flanks and if Nathan Redmond can get some momentum I think he can be the key for the Canaries having a successful season. I think Norwich cause a shock tomorrow though and I am going to take Norwich to get a win at a big price.
