Sunderland after their smash and grab win at Crystal Palace on Monday will look to continue their fight against relegation when they host Stoke City at the Stadium of Light. Sam Allardyce's side were out played and dominated on Monday but Jermain Defoe popped up with what could be a priceless winner for the black cats. Sunderland though were pretty poor throughout the game and I think the fans know that the occasional win like this will not be enough to keep them up. Sunderland need to improve their performances. The best player on the pitch for Sunderland on Monday was Pantilimon their goalkeeper.
Stok City have been on fire recently, Mark Hughes side look like a team that are moving in the right direction. Seven wins in their last nine have left them just a point behind seventh place in the league and with a talented squad I think Stoke City will eb looking for a possible top six finish. Bojan has come back from his injury hit season better than ever and with Walters, Diouf, Arnautovich, Affellay and Van Ginkel there is a lot of attacking talent here. In addition Stoke have one of the best goalkeepers in the league in Butland and a solid back four.
Going to take Stoke here to get an away win, in what probably will be a low scoring affair . For me Stoke just have more attacking talent and in the end that is normally what seperates these tight encounters.
