Mexico and Sweden face each other in the final round of games of the group stages. Both teams are still fighting for a spot in the round of 16 which means that we should be able to witness a great game.

Sweden were very close to beating Germany and were denied at point by Toni Kroos in the last minute of the game. This means that Sweden must get a win against Mexico if they want to make it to the next round of the World Cup. This Swedish side is filled with many talented players and they have shown that they can beat the top sides. The aspect of the game that will be critical for Sweden to execute will be their finishing. They missed many chances against Germany and they will need to improve on that if they wish to beat Mexico.

On the other side of the coin, Mexico will want to win to secure top spot in the group. The Mexicans just need one point but with Sweden looking to win, it is unlikely that Mexico will be able to park the bus for 90 minutes. Winning the group will be important since the finishing second will mean that they will have to play Brazil in the round of 16.

I am going to make a bold prediction and say that Sweden is going to win. Sweden have impressed me greatly and although Mexico beat Germany, I still have doubts over the North American side. We are getting an incredible price on Sweden winning this game and as a result, it is the best bet for this fixture. I am also expecting this to be a low scoring game since there is lots on the line. The under 2.5 goals should win.

Pick:
Sweden
