Switzerland vs. Denmark - 3/26/19 Euro Cup Qualifier Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Switzerland is welcoming Denmark in round 2 or Euro Cup qualifications.

Switzerland are a pretty good team that are playing nice, offensive soccer. The Swiss have a strong midfield which is led by Arsenal's Granit Xhaka who is also Switzerlands best player. In their last game against Georgia, Switzerland played really well and has had 65% of ball possession, 8 shots on goal, 9 corner kicks and have won this game 0-2. Switzerland is in group D with Ireland, Denmark, Gibraltar and Georgia and will be fighting with Denmark and Ireland for top two spots in group to get qualified to Euro Cup. Switzerland is ranked as number 8 in FIFA standings in the moment mostly thanks to the World Cup last year where they ended up second in group behind Brazil but then lost against Sweden and got knocked out. Coach Petkovic is doing great job on Swiss bench and only problem with his roster is that one of the best Swiss players, Xherdan Shaqiri is no playing because of an injury.

Denmark is ranked as number 10 in FIFA standing at the moment and have left some pretty good teams like Netherlands and Germany behind them. Denmark had really good World Cup last year where they ended up second in their group behind France, but then got knocked out by Croatia in a penalty shootout. In last year’s Nations League, Denmark has won their group in front of Wales and Ireland with 8 points and without a loss with 2 wins and 2 draws. In their last game against Kosovo, Denmark was only better in ball possession with 58% but had only 3 shots on goal and game ended in a 2-2 draw. Denmark’s best player is Christian Eriksen who is playing for Tottenham and is one of the best players in Premier League. Danish national team is full of young and talented players like Dolberg, Poulsen, Billing and Christiansen and coach Hareide has started giving them more chances and it has been paying out because Denmark is playing really good soccer with lots of passes through the middle and their best player Eriksen.

This is a match between two equally strong teams but with completely different game style and I expect interesting games with lots of chances on both ends.

Pick:
Both Teams to Score +100

Being from Croatia I was raised with soccer all around me and I loved to watch and play soccer ever since i was little kid, especially after Croatia won third place in 1998 World Cup in France. I watch and follow soccer on a daily basis and to get the oppurtunity to write about it is amazing.
