One of the best match ups of the weekend in Italy will see high flying Torino host Milan in what should be a really even contest between two solid teams. Torino have been one of the surprise packages of a surprise season this far. Torino have a team full of experience and youth. Quagliarelli one of the most travelled players in Serie A with six clubs in ten years and has top scored this season with four goals in seven games. Another of Torino's stars this year Baselli has three goals so far already and Torino look like a team ready to compete for a place in Europe next season , this is a huge game for Torino against one of the so called big five in Italy and is against a rebuilding Milan team. Torino have played three home games this season and won them all including wins against Fiorentina and Sampdoria.
Milan are in the middle of a rebuilding phase and new manager Mihjalovich has been trying to put together a team to get Milan back to the top table of Serie A. Having suffered back to back defeats Milan are now looking to bounce back especially seeing as they got hammered 4-0 by Napoli last time out. This is a tough game for Milan and their defence has really struggled of late, with the summer additions of Bacca, Luiz Adriano and Balotelli this is a team that has plenty of attacking talent but they are struggling to gel together. There is no doubt that with Menez, Bacca and Adriano there are enough goals in this side to bring Champions League football back to Milan but Mijhalovich has to find a way to shore up this defence.
Given Torino's strong home form it's understandable that they are favourites here, Milan have also struggled of late so it's tough to make a case for the visitors in this one. With that said I think Milan have enough quality to cause Torino some problems defensively. I am going to take Torino to win and both teams to score as I see alot of value in the prices here.
