Toronto FC vs New England Revolution 23 June 2016: MLS Preview and Predictions

USA TODAY Sports

In the Eastern Conference of the Major League Soccer, Canadian team and conference leaders, Toronto FC, will play host to the New England Revolution. This game will be important for both sides as a win here will mean a lot to both sets of fans since this is a interconference game so points here mean a lot more.

Toronto came so close last season to winning it all, just to fall short in the final in what was a heart breaking defeat for the team. This season they look likely to repeat this feat and hopefully go one step further and get the title that the fans in Ontario are so dearly hoping for. A win here will mean that they can keep up their solid form and on paper, they should win. The team is at home and are a level above when it comes to quality.

The New England Revolution on the other hand will have their work cut out. This team needs a win if they are to keep their post-season dreams alive but as it stands, I don’t think that it will happen. This team is a level below their opponents and as it stands, they are unlikely to get the three points here.

As far as betting in concerned, we are not getting a great price on Toronto FC winning this game and as a result perhaps it is best to avoid this bet. That being said, there is still value in this game in the form of betting on the number of goals scored. Both teams can score and as a result the over 2.5 goals is by far the best bet to make in this game.
