Tottenham are in action this weekend as they play host to Watford in the English Premier League. This game is much more important to Tottenham that it is to Watford since the Spurs still need to secure a spot in Europe while Watford have nothing to play for.
This can be considered a good season for Watford. The Hornets had a very strong start to the year and it continued well throughout the season. That being said, at this stage of the year, there is nothing to play for and going to play away from home against Tottenham is never an easy task. I expect Watford to show their class but it is hard to see the Hornets mustering up enough willpower to put up a winning performance at Wembley.
As far as Tottenham are concerned, making the Champions League next season is a top priority. If the Spurs fail to make top 4, they will likely lose all their top players and that is something which the club can’t allow. I see this as an important enough game for Tottenham that we see a strong performance and that should be enough to ensure that the Spurs win at home.
As far as betting is concerned, we are unfortunately not getting a good enough price to wager on Tottenham to win outright so that is a bet which I would avoid. I think the best bet is the over 2.5 goals which I think wins almost always since Watford are in holiday mode and may concede many goals.
