With the final round of group stage fixtures fast approaching, it’s time to place your bets on this week’s Europa League games. There is still plenty to play for in many of the groups, so I’ve picked out three games that present great value when it comes to betting on Matchday 6 of the Europa League 2019/20.

Manchester United vs. AZ Alkmaar – 12/12/19

The top two teams in Group L meet at Old Trafford on Thursday as Manchester United host AZ Alkmaar. The English side are one point clear of Alkmaar at the top of the group, but both teams have already qualified for the next round. United have only conceded two goals in five Europa League games this season, while Alkmaar have kept six straight clean sheets in the Eredivisie. All the signs are pointing towards a low-scoring game, so under 2.5 goals makes sense.

Pick: Under 2.5 Goals – 1.85

Borussia Monchengladbach vs. Istanbul Basaksehir – 12/12/19

Monchengladbach are top of Group J with eight points, while Basaksehir are in third place on seven points. A draw would be enough to send the German club through the last 32, but the Turkish outfit must win to stand any chance of reaching the knockout stages. Gladbach are currently top of the Bundesliga and have been playing some brilliant soccer recently. On the other hand, Basaksehir have struggled for consistency. A home win is at 1.36 here, but I’m backing Gladbach to claim a convincing victory without conceding.

Pick: Borussia Monchengladbach to Win and Keep a Clean Sheet – 2.30

Roma vs. Wolfsberger – 12/12/19

Wolfsberger have already been eliminated from the Europa League and find themselves bottom of Group J with just four points to their name. In contrast, Roma are second, and a win would guarantee them a spot in the next round. The Italian giants a currently fifth in Serie A – four points behind third-place Lazio. All the other teams in Group J have scored five goals, while Roma have netted 10 so far. For that reason, I can see the Italians registering a high-scoring win on Matchday 6.

Pick: Roma to Win and Over 2.5 Goals – 1.54

The pick in this article is the opinion of the writer, not a Sports Chat Place site consensus.
