Massive game on Tuesday night in the South American World Cup qualifying campaign as Uruguay host Copa America Champions Chile in what should be a really intriguing game. Chile come into this game off the back of a disappointing home draw with Colombia , a game that they dominated but just couldnt score. Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal were pulling the strings but they just couldnt find a way past a resolute Colombia defence. Chile won the Copa America based on their terrific defence and the ability to hit on the counter attack. With Arsenal's striker Sanchez up top there is always a chance that Chile can score and even though this is a tough game visiting a Uruguay team that did not lose at all in their home games of the 2014 World Cup qualification I think that Chile will be confident of getting something from this game.
Uruguay come into this game off the back of a 2-1 loss to Equador last week. Uruguay have sometimes struggled to finish chances in the absence of the suspended Luis Suarez. The Barcelona striker still has3 games to go before he can line out for his country again after his infamous bite at the world cup. With Suarez missing it will be up to captain Diego Godin to lead the team and with Edison Cavani up top Uruguay still have a world class striker to turn to. Uruguay are one of the hardest working teams in South America and they will put in 100% in this game and try to get a win against the newly crowned Copa America winners.
In the Copa America Chile eeked out a 1-0 win over Uruguay in what was a very defensive game, I think we see another defensive game here and I cant see there being many goals. Taking the unders is not much value though and instead I am going to take the draw. I think Chile leave here with something in probably a 0-0 or 1-1 game.
