Valencia look to reclaim fourth in La Liga when they take on Granada on Monday night. Both teams are fighting for something here with Valencia looking to get back into the top four and Champions League football while Granada are desperately fighting for points to avoid relegation. With just six games left a victory is a must for both teams.
Valencia come into this game having won just two of their last five and losing a tight tense battle to Barcelona last weekend. Valencia know if they slip again Sevilla will have the upper hand in the fight for fourth and I think that as a whole Valencia know they must win all six remaining games. With Negredo, Piatti and Alcacer up front Valencia have far more firepower at their disposal and should come through this game against a Granada side that have lost four in a row and are really struggling at the moment.
With eight out injured or carrying knocks Granada are going to struggle here. Goals have been a problem all season and with the team currently sitting five points from safety they know they must get their act together now. Just six games to save themselves Granada may have already left themselves too much to do but they will go to Valencia on Monday night and try to be compact and not concede early.Having lost four in a row away from home including a 9-1 defeat to Real Madrid the team will be focussed on not collapsing.
Taking Valencia -1 here, I think Valencia know the importance of getting Champions League football and with the stronger squad they should be able to handle Granada here at home.
