The game of the week in Spain will see Valencia host Real Madrid at the Mestalla. Valencia's new boss Gary Neville is finding out what a big job he has on his hands as Valencia have struggled this season and the visit of a red hot Real Madird is going to be tough for Valencia to be able to deal with. Valencia have some quality throughout the team but their strikers are misfiring so far this season. Negreo and Piatti have just one goal between them and while Alcacer has seven goals he cant carry the goal scoring burden on his own. Valencia will look to Feghouli and Parejo to shut down Madrid's star studded midfield but this is going to be a tough game for Valencia.
Real Madrid come into this game on a hot streak , having scored twenty one goals in their last four games including ten in one this Real side have shown a lethal side when they get on top of teams. Cristiano Ronaldo , Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema are all excelling this season with the latter two both scoring hat tricks in that 10-2 win. Real Madrid will be looking to take advantage of a rare slip by Barcelona who were held to a 0-0 against espanyol. Athletico Madrid currently lead the way in La Liga but the season looks again like it will come down to a 3 horse race with Barca, Real and Atletico. Rafa Benitez is under pressure at the moment as Real's slips this season have left him with massive pressure and I dont think the Real boss can afford any more slip ups.
Given the current form it would be easy to just take Real Madrid straight up here but I dont see much value in that. Valencia are unbeaten at home for over a year and I think that they can continue that terrific record when they come up against Real . I'm going to take the draw which appears to me to be the value bet in this one
