Stuttgart is welcoming Hoffenheim in round 26 of German Bundesliga.
Stuttgart is playing really poorly since the beginning of the season and are now fighting for their lives in Bundesliga with Augsburg and Schalke. Stuttgart’s defense is just criminal so far and has allowed 55 goals in 25 games so far and that is the main reason why Stuttgart is holding 16thspot in the standings with 19 points. In their last game against Borussia Dortmund, Stuttgart were hanging in the game until 84thminute by having only 25% ball possession and only 1 shot on goal and then got scored on twice in 6 minutes and ended up losing this game 3-1 which only show all the problems Stuttgart have on the defensive end. On the offensive end Stuttgart is capable of creating some chances and scoring some goals and have scored at least 1 goal in last 4 games. Mario Gomez is Stuttgart’s top goal scorer with 6 goals while Castro and Gentner added 4 assists each. Stuttgart is a team that has potential to be higher in the standings but their game style this season is just bad and because of that it will be hard for them to keep Bundesliga status.
Hoffenheim is playing really good soccer at the moment and are holding 8thspot in the standings with 37 points and are only points away from Europa League spot. Hoffenheim have scored 49 goals in 25 matches in Bundesliga thus far which is almost 2 goals per game and Kramaric leads Hoffenheim with 12 goals. In their last game against Nurnberg, Hoffenheim controlled ball possession with 64% nad 6 shot on goal and 8 corners and have routinely won this game 2-1. On the defensive end, Hoffenheim is not that good and have conceded at least 1 goals in 10 of last 11 matches. Geiger is injured and Adams is suspended and will play this game. Hoffenheim has been near the top of Bundesliga for the last 3 seasons mostly because of their young coach Nagelsman who is able to really connect to the players and make them better which has shown on Hoffenheim’s results over the last 3 seasons. With really nice game style with most of the plays going through Hoffenheim’s midfield, they are one of the most enjoyable teams to watch in Germany.
Neither of the teams is doing great on the defensive end, and both teams are capable of creating some chances in the offense I’m going to pick something on goals here.
