Watford will open their new season at home as the Hornets take on Liverpool in their opening fixture. This is a big season for both sides as Liverpool will look to become a top team in England again while Watford will hope to establish themselves as a Premier League team.
Liverpool looks like they will not sell Coutinho. Barcelona has offered a lot of money for him but it looks like he will not leave, meaning that the side will be a lot stronger than initially thought. This team has a lot of talent but they are missing talent in the midfield and it the defense so that is something that Klopp and the Reds need to work on before the end of the transfer window.
Watford has made a few good additions over the summer transfer window with Gray joining the Hornets from Burnley. This side did well last year and they will want to build on that this season. I think this team is talented but even at home, they are no match for Liverpool. The Reds are the better team and anybody betting otherwise is not making a profit.
That being said, we are not getting a great price on betting on Liverpool to win this fixture so I think we should avoid this bet. The better bet is both teams to score. Both sides have goal scorers and that makes them both likely to score. In addition to that, the two teams are weak at defending so I am expecting them both to concede. Another bet which makes sense is the over 2.5 goals due to the same reasons as above.
