The late game on Saturday in the Premier League is a cracking match up between third places Manchester City and sixth placed West Ham United. West Ham will look to do the double over Manchester City on Saturday having beaten City 2-1 at the Ethiad back in September. West Ham come into this game as he form team even though they lost to Newcastle last time out, before that loss West Ham had not tasted defeat in their previous nine games. With Payet back from injury and Valencia and Antonio up top this is a Hammers team with goals and plenty of creative talent. At the back James Collins has been superb and West Ham are actually unbeaten at home since losing to Bournemouth back in August. This is a quality team and in Slaven Bilic they have a quality manager that has instilled belief in the players that they can compete at the top of the Premier League.
Manchester City are favourites for the game because of the talent throughout their squad. Form wise though Manchester City have won just two of their last eight away games in all competitions. The return of Sergio Aguero and the return to form of Ya Ya Toure has been key in Manchester City closing the gap at the top of the Premier League, added in the return from injury of David Silva and Fabian Delph and this Manchester City squad has rested players who are back for the business end of the season. But to be fair Manchester City have struggled on the road this season and this is another very tough game against an inform team.
I'm taking West Ham on the handicap here, I think that West Ham could well win this outright but getting a goal head start on the handicap seems the smart move. This rivalry tends to go with the home team and I think West Ham should cover the handicap and may even sneak a win here that could see them leap frog Manchester United depending on results elsewhere.
