The first game of this weekend’s English Premier League will look at two of the top 6 teams face off in a game where a lot will be on the line. The home team, West Ham are looking at Champions League spots while the away team, Arsenal are still dreaming that a Tottenham and Leicester slip up could give them the title. Either way, both teams need a win from this game and looking at the sides on paper I think we can expect a good game.
West Ham have been very good this season but last weekend’s result will have dented their confidence a little bit as they only got a point at home against a struggling Crystal Palace team. Nevertheless, they still are playing well and I think that they will not be fazed by the fact that they are playing Arsenal. This game will see their home crowd behind them in what will be one of the last games they will ever play at this venue so the passion will be strong and expectations will be high for the Hammers.
Arsenal on the other hand find themselves in a situation they do so often. They will definitely make the Champions League but the title once again seems way too far away. Arsene Wenger is losing the fans and things at Arsenal are problematic at the least. This will the ideal chance for them to win the league and they need to prove themselves again to their fans and winning away at West Ham is a start.
Overall though, I think that Arsenal will find this hard to win. I am not sure whether or not West Ham will get a win here but I don’t think they will lose. Looking at the lines, I think that the best option we have here is to take the Asian handicap and bet on West Ham +0.5 which is getting us good value.
