West Ham take on Manchester City in East London as life after Dmitri Payet begins for the Hammers. This is an important game for both sides because West Ham are in the process of rebuilding while for Manchester City they need to get three points if they want to keep up their title challenge.
Pep has been under a lot of scrutiny after his team’s recent performances have not been great. City did win on the weekend in the FA Cup against Crystal Palace but what the fans want is consistent wins in the Premier League and this will be the perfect opportunity for the team to do that. This side has great attacking options but at the back they are having a ton of problems so I think this will not be an easy game for them.
West Ham on the other hand are getting back in some form as some of their best players are returning from injury. That being said, they are up against one of the best teams in England, although out of form, it will still be a big task for them,
All in all, I think this is going to be a really tight game since Manchester City are the better team, but they have been out of form and they are also on the road. The home crowd should get West Ham going and although the atmosphere of Upton Park is no longer there, the new ground still full of Hammers and that should really boost the side. We are getting a good price on the draw and I think this is quite a likely outcome so this is for me the best bet in this game. Other than that, both teams to score is also a good bet since they both are capable of scoring and the Manchester City defensive has had its problems.
