The second match on Tuesday has a lot more life to it as Wolfsburg take on Gent in a tie where the Germans lead by 3 goals to 2. Wolfsburg will be at home this match will a massive away goal advantage but don’t write of Gent since they have fought all the way through this competition and a 2 goal win will see them go through.
Wolfsburg are a good side and they are coming of a 2-1 home win in their domestic league. This will be good for the team morale since they have been inconsistent at time. This side has a lot of potential but they manage to lose the big moments so this will be a big test for them since it is a chance for them to reach to quarter finals of the Champions League. This berth in within their grasps and I think in front of a home crowd they should get home.
Gent on the other hand will know that they have a chance if they play well. This team has been dominating in the Belgian Pro League and although they are coming of a 1-1 draw, they will know that it is possible for them to get through. That being said, it is going to be tough since playing against a German team in Germany is tough and I think it might be asking a little too much.
I think that we can expect a draw here. Wolfsburg will be happy with one and at home I think they might just sit back and play for a 0-0 result. The draw is paying well as usual so it is value in my opinion. This tie is not over yet but it is hard to see Wolfsburg mucking this one up.
