After an amazing win midweek against Manchester United Wolfsburg will try to keep their domestic campaign on form and will hope for a repeat performance at the Volkswagon Arena. Wolfsburg were terrific on Tuesday night as they dismantled Manchester United. Schurrle, Kruse and Draxler were excellent against Manchester United and a repeat performance here will surely see them win another game and move closer to th top four and a Champions League place.Wolfsburg on their day are very tough to beat with a solid defence, strong midfield and alot of attacking options up top.
Hamburg though come into this game having won three of their last four games and moving well away from the relegation zone. A win here would see Hamburg move upto sixth in the league table. Hamburg beat Borussia Dortmund a couple of weeks back and have proven that they are very tough to beat. Lewis Holtby has been key for Hamburg and the former Tottenham midfielder has been excellent this season. Lasogga has been key up front and leads the way for Hamburg with six goals this season. Olic joined in the January window and brings a good amount of experience to the team and has excelled in a super sub type of role.
Tough one to call here, Wolfsburg are too short for me to take straight up. While Hamburg are definitely after improving this season I think they are still far from the finished article and this is a very tough game for Hamburg as they face a Wolfsburg team that just beat Manchester United and who have only lost to Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund this season. I'm going to take both teams to score here.
