One of the match ups of the weekend in the Bundesliga will see Werder Bremen travel to take on Wolfsburg at the Volkswagon Arena. Wolfsburg are third in the league right now but are going through a rough patch having lost three of their last four games in all competitions. With a squad stacked with talent the home side will want to turn things around after the international break. Schurrle, Draxler, Dost and Kruse will be the key figures both creatively and goal scoring wise. The sale of Kevin De Bruyne definitely hurt Wolfsburg but Draxler has come in and been very good at times but like any new player in a new team he will need time to settle. This is a good Wolfsburg team and they will be looking to bounce back in this spot.
Werder Bremen are just above the relegation zone but have improved of late and have won two of their last four in the league with close losses to the top two in the other games , a 1-0 loss to Munich and a 3-1 Loss to Borussia Dortmund in a game they really could have been alot closer. Bremen will look to Ujah to provide the attacking spark as he has four goals in his last four games and the experience of Pizarro will also be key if Bremen are going to take anything from this game.
Honestly I dont like the odds on Wolfsburg here, they are too short for a team that has struggled so much in recent games. I think Bremen will keep this one tight for at least an hour so I am taking Bremen +.5 on the first half handicap. I think the draw at half time is likely here but given that Bremen have either led or drawn in all six of their away games at half time this season i am taking the +0.5 on the first half handicap.
