Elias Ymer vs Adrian Mannarino
|Date & Time||Wednesday August 1, 2018, 8:00 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Adrian Mannarino -200/ Elias Ymer +150 Over/Under:
World number 25, Adrian Mannarino, will begin his preparation for the US Open in Mexico as he takes part in the Los Cabos Open. The French superstar will begin his campaign against Swedish youngster, Elias Ymer, in the round of 16. Both players will want to get some wins under their belt with the US Open this month so I am expecting a great tennis match.
Elias Ymer won his opening round match in straight sets as he cruised through the round of 32 stage of the tournament. It has been a tough few months for the 22-year-old Swede as he has failed to make it to the second round of an ATP event since the French Open. Elias Ymer is considered to be a great tennis talent and has been playing top-level tennis since he was a junior so there are great hopes on his doing well. This will be a great chance for him to challenge himself against a top quality player and it will be interesting to see how well he does.
On the other side of the court, Adrian Mannarino will look to ease into the next round. The French superstar is one of the top players in the world and will look to win this event. The French player has had many deep runs over the past few months but has failed to win an ATP title. That is something that Adrian Mannarino will be very keen to change and it will be a goal for him to win this event. This is the second pre-US Open tournament that Adrian Mannarino is playing this season and after a disappointing second-round exit at the Hall of Fame Open, the world number 25 will look to do much better in Mexico.
All in all, I only see one winner and that is Adrian Mannarino. The French superstar is the better player and I don’t see him losing to Elias Ymer.
