Agnieszka Radwanska and Elina Svitolina meet Saturday in the Final of the Connecticut Open on ESPN2.

Agnieszka Radwanska is coming off a straight sets win over Petra Kvitová that took 14 games to decide. Radwanska has not dropped a set this tournament and has lost just seven games in her last two matches. Radwanska continues to play terrific defense and making very few unforced errors. As long as Radwanska can remain in this form, she’s going to be a serious threat to make a deep run in the upcoming US Open. Radwanska is in her second final this season and hopes to win her 19th career singles title. Radwanska has won eight of her last 12 matches on hard court.

Elina Svitolina is coming off a straight sets win over Johanna Larsson that took 18 games to decide. Svitolina has been on quite a roll lately as she’s won her last seven sets and has lost just 10 games in her last two matches. Svitolina has done a great job of finishing her points quickly and has jumped on her opponents early and often. In her last three second sets, Svitolina has lost a combined four games, which just screams dominance as of late. Svitolina is now in her second final appearance this season and is 4-0 in her career in final appearances. Svitolina has won seven of her last nine matches on hard court.

These two have played twice in the past and Radwanska has won both meetings. The most recent match was in the 2015 Toray Pan Pacific Open, a match that took 17 games to decide. This will be the second match on hard court.

Radwanska is in terrific form right now, has the head to head advantage and has far more experience in matches like this one. While Svitolina is also playing solid tennis, Radwanska should have little trouble winning her fifth final appearance in a row.
