Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

German tennis superstar, Alexander Zverev has made it into the second round of the 2019 ATP Grand Prix Hassan II in Morocco. At this stage of the tournament, Zverev will play against Jaume Munar from Spain.

Jaume Munar won his previous match as he beat Facundo Bagnis in straight sets. It was a comfortable win for Munar as he impressed with his serving as he won 67% of his service points. Munar won 90% of his service games and 33% of his return games to ensure that he won the match. Munar has been playing decent tennis this season but the Spaniard will be aware of the challenge that this match entails.

On the other side of the coin, Alexander Zverev won his previous match with ease as he defeated Denis Istomin in straight sets. During the win, Alexander Zverev served exceptionally well as he hit 13 aces which helped him to 74% of his service games. Zverev won all of his service games and 20% of his return games which allowed him to control the entire match. Alexander Zverev is a very strong clay court player and he proved that last season by winning 2 clay court ATP title. These titles include the Madrid Open which was Zverev’s third ATP 1000 title win. Alexander Zverev is the top seed at this venue and he will be very tough to beat.

This will be the first time that Alexander Zverev and Jaume Munar will be playing each other at an ATP tournament.

Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Alexander Zverev to win this match. Zverev is the stronger player and he is much more skilful when playing on clay. Zverev looked in top form in his opening match and I see him continuing his winning ways by winning this match also.
