Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Two of the top German players in the world, Philipp Kohlschreiber and Alexander Zverev will play each other at the 2018 ATP US Open. The winner of this match will make it into the fourth round of the tournament and that should mean that both players will be greatly focussed. There is enough talent in this match and the tennis played should be at a high level.

Alexander Zverev is in tremendous form. The German superstar has dominated all of his opponents and he has been controlling every match he has been playing. While he is still very young in his career, Alexander Zverev is yet to win a major tournament and looking at his form, he will feel that this is his chance of winning a grand slam. This is expected to be a harder match for Zverev than the opening two round matches but the world number 4 will know that he is a better player than Philipp Kohlschreiber and that he should be good enough to win this match. That being said, Alexander Zverev will need to remain focused because that is the only factor that could cost him his match.

On the other side of the court, Philipp Kohlschreiber has also looked very good. He has had some scary moment but in general, he has done the job well. This will be a very hard match for Philipp Kohlschreiber since he is playing one of the best players in the world. Philipp Kohlschreiber will need to be at his best if he wishes to compete with the world number 4.

Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Alexander Zverev to win this match. The world number 4 is much better than Philipp Kohlschreiber and I think he will win with ease and finish the match in straight sets.
