We have reached the last 4 stage of the Citi Open in Washington DC. This tournament has been great to watch and we are expecting to get another incredible game as Australian teenager, Alex de Minaur takes on Russian superstar, Andrey Rublev. Both players are still young and will relish this opportunity of playing in the semifinals of an ATP event. This should be a great match to watch.

Andrey Rublev is a very talented player but he has been a little inconsistent at times in this tournament. The 20-year-old has won all his matches in straight sets but it seems like he is missing a spark which he had with him before. This will be a tougher match than the previous ones for Andrey Rublev since his opponent is in exceptional form. It will be important for the Russian to improve from his first three rounds if he wants to win this semifinal and get into the final.

The only major benefactor from Andy Murray’s retirement from the Citi Open was Alex de Minaur. The youngster gets automatic qualification into the semifinals with the Scottish superstar's withdrawal and he will look to take full advantage of the opportunity. It has been a good tournament for Alex de Minaur as he has looked very convincing in all his matches. The Australian beat the number 8 seed, Chung Hyeon from South Korea, in the round of 16 and that win would have given Alex de Minaur tons of confidence. This will be another tough match but I think the Australian has the potential to stand up to the challenge.

All in all, I am expecting Alex de Minaur to win. This is a bold prediction because the Australian is still very young not very experienced but he is playing some amazing tennis and I think that will get him through.
