American tennis player, Sam Querrey has made it into the second round of the 2019 Wimbledon Championships. Sam Querrey will now play against Andrey Rublev from Russia.

Sam Querrey had a big win in the previous round where he defeated the number 5 seed, Dominic Thiem. It was a very impressive display by Querrey as he lost the opening set but fought back strongly to win the next 3 sets. The serving was outstanding from Sam Querrey as he hit 22 aces which helped him win 73% of his service points. Querrey won all of his service games 4 return games during the victory.

It has been a strong few weeks for Sam Querrey as he finished second at the Eastbourne International last week. Considering his form, Querrey will be confident in his ability to win.

On the other side of the court, Andrey Rublev defeated Cristian Garin in the previous round. It was a solid match where Rublev won in straight sets. During the victory, Andrey Rublev won 81% of his service games and 6 return games.

It has been a hard few weeks for Rublev as he had not qualified for a tournament since the Monte Carlo Masters. Considering his lack for form prior to this event, Rublev may struggle to compete against an inform player in Querrey.

Sam Querrey and Andrey Rublev have not played each other in the past.

Taking everything into consideration, I am going to pick Sam Querrey to win this match. While Rublev has played well in this tournament, he has not been playing well over the past few weeks. Querrey has been playing on a different level. Querrey had a strong tournament prior to this tournament and his performance against Thiem shows that the player is in top form. Querrey should be too strong for Andrey Rublev in this match.
