Andy Murray’s return to the tennis world was a successful one as the Scottish superstar won his opening round match in his return at the ATP Citi Open. That victory has seen Andy Murray make the round of 32 where he will take on Kyle Edmund who is the number 18 ranked player in the world. Both players are from the UK and there will be a friendly rivalry in this tennis match.
Andy Murray is not seeded for this tournament and although that has caused him to get a tough draw, it should not really matter since he is the best player in the competition. The Scottish superstar has won every tournament possible and will be determined to do well as he prepares for the US Open. Murray missed Wimbledon due to injury and that would have been devastating for the player. I am expecting Andy Murray to be very determined and focused as he will look to make up for the time he lost due to injury.
On the other side of the coin, Kyle Edmund will look to win and get out of the shadow of Andy Murray. Edmund has always been seen as the second best after Murray but I am sure the English player will look to beat his UK rival. Kyle Edmund has been playing decent tennis over the past few months and although he has not won any titles, he will feel that he is in good form. This will be a great chance for Kyle Edmund to beat Andy Murray and it will be interesting to see how he performs.
While Edmund is playing well, I am still going to side with Andy Murray winning. The former world number 1 is an exceptional player and I don’t see him losing now that he if fit and healthy. We are getting Andy Murray as an underdog which is an exceptionally good wager so I am going to suggest that as the best option for this match.
