Marius Copil vs Andy Murray
|Date & Time||Thursday August 2, 2018, 8:30 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Marius Copil +300/ Andy Murray -450 Over/Under:
The Citi Open in Washington DC has been a great tournament with many of the big names in tennis competing for one of the biggest non-grand slam ATP events. The tournament has reached a stage where only 16 players remain from a starting field of over 60. In this stage Scottish superstar, Andy Murray will be in action as he takes on Marius Copil from Romania. This is a big game for both players so we can expect some good tennis.
Marius Copil eliminated French superstar, Jeremy Chardy, in the round of 32 and looked very composed in that victory. The Romanian has been in good form as he has done well in the past few months in ATP and Challenger tournaments. This will be an entirely different test for the Romanian superstar as he has matched up against one of the best players in the world in Andy Murray. Marius Copil will need to be at his best if he is to compete in this match.
On the other side of the court, Andy Murray is looking like a player that has returned to form. The former world number 1 is looking very composed as he cruised past his opponents in the last two rounds. Murray would be feeling good about his second round win over top-rated UK player, Kyle Edmund since that victory sent a message showing that Andy Murray is still a top player. It has been a while since Andy Murray has won an ATP event and with an intention of climbing up the rankings, I am expecting the Scottish superstar to show his class and win this match.
There can only be one winner in this match and that is Andy Murray. He is the better player and I don’t think he will be challenged in this fixture. We are getting a decent price on Andy Murray winning so that is a wager which I am going to suggest.
