Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Borna Coric is back from his break after Wimbledon as he prepares to play in the ATP Swiss Open. The Croatian superstar is ranked as the number 3 seed for this tournament and as a result, he was allowed to bypass the opening round of games and get automatic entry into the round of 16. In the round of 16, he will be taking on Laslo Dere from Serbia. Both players are playing well at the moment so we should get a great tennis match.

Laslo Dere won his opening round in straight sets as he beat experienced player, Denis Istomin. That victory showed that the Serbian is in good form as he managed to dominate Istomin and win in straight sets. It has been a good few months for Laslo Dere as he managed to make the quarterfinals of his last event, ATP Croatia. That performance will give his confidence in this tournament and he will look to use that in this game against the number 3 seeded player.

As far as Borna Coric is concerned, he will look to win this match quickly and prepare for the later rounds. The Croatian is the better player in this match and he will want to ensure that he is not fatigued due to this match. That being said, Coric will still need to play well since he is playing an opponent in good form. Coric has been playing well and although he had a first-round exit at Wimbledon, he managed to beat Roger Federer and win the Halle Open less than a month ago. Confidence will be high for the Croatian superstar and he will hope that he can win quickly.

All in all, I am going to predict that Borna Coric wins this match. The Croatian is the superior player and it is hard to see him losing considering how well he played at the Halle Open. I expect a quick game with the number 3 seed winning in straight sets.
