Serbian tennis player, Janko Tipsarević has made it into the second round of the 2019 ATP Houston Open. Janko Tipsarević will now face the number 3 seed, Cameron Norrie from the United Kingdom.
Janko Tipsarević had a solid win in the opening round as he won in straight sets. It was a dominant performance by Janko Tipsarević as he impressed with his serving. During the win, Tipsarević as he won 68% of his service points which allowed him to win 90% of his service games. Janko Tipsarević also won 3 return games to sum up a solid victory. This is expected to be a much tougher match for Janko Tipsarević as Norrie is a much more accomplished opponent.
Looking at Cameron Norrie, the Brit received an opening round bye due to his high seeding. Leading up to this tournament, Cameron Norrie has been playing as was evident by his performance at the ATP Mexican Open. Cameron Norrie made the semifinal of the Mexican Open where he beat the likes of Diego Schwartzman. It has been a fruitful season for the Brit as Cameron Norrie made his first ATP final in January at the ATP Auckland Open. Norrie is looking confident this season and that will make his tough to beat in this tournament.
This will be the first time that Cameron Norrie and Janko Tipsarević will be playing each other at an ATP event.
Janko Tipsarević had a very impressive win in the previous round but I see him losing to Cameron Norrie. Norrie has been marked as a future superstar and he is starting to cause an impact this season by some very strong performances at ATP tournament. Cameron Norrie looks in supreme form and I see him winning this match and making the third round of the ATP Houston Open.
